6.2.GO - "Go WILD about Rotary!"

 
Wow ... 6 months of this Rotary year has passed and it has been an amazingly productive and very active time for our Clubs. I have been privileged to be present at the birth of an Interact Club, attend a Matched Twin Exchange student induction and debrief session, met with and been part of some amazing Rotary Youth Exchange presentations and events, been to Rotary Governor Elect Training and Rotary Institute in Penrith - Australia,   Club Membership and Development workshops, Design Your Club Workshops and supporting our illustrious District Governor Martin Garcia with the District support to Clubs and our District Committees!
 

Whew! ..... and now the work begins. The second half of the Rotary year is about preparing our District and Club leaders for the opportunity and challenges that we will achieve to give service to our communities in the 2017/18 Rotary year.

 

Part of our guidance and Rotary focus will come from the Rotary International President Elect Ian Risely from Melbourne, Australia and the announcement of the annual theme. I will provide this in our Rotary District Club Directory and President Elect Training in early March.

 

For Fiona and I, we are in the USA as part of the preparation and final development we will receive through our attendance at Rotary International Assembly in San Diego, California. This will be an amazing experience with 540 other District Governor Elects from throughout the countries of the Rotary International world!

 

I hope you take some time over the Summer to enjoy family and  friends, take a break from work and for many of us recharge our batteries for the next 6 months of our Rotary year.

 

But, for our Presidents Elect and Assistant Governors for 2017/18 - I would ask that you PLEASE register for South Pacific President Elect Training Seminar, 3-5 March 2017 at Waipuna Hotel in Auckland. As we start 2017, I look forward to catching up with my developing passionate team of dedicated Rotarians who will lead our Clubs, support our Clusters of Clubs as Assistant Governors and District Chairs who will lead and support our District Committees in 2017/18.
