The Rotary Club of Taihape has very reluctantly decided to retire from running RYPEN for District 9940.  There may be a number of clubs or clusters interested in operating RYPEN and DG Martin and I are calling for expressions of interest.  Clubs or clusters should briefly outline what they can offer including the resources they would call on to support RYPEN and any other relevant information.
 
Initial expressions of interest should be submitted to ADG Richard Wishnowsky  and cc'd to DG Martin before Christmas.  We know it is a difficult time of the year but we need to move asap.

Following a visit by Deb and Neville Gimblett to Uganda and Tanzania last year an opportunity exists for a friendship exchange with D9211 which takes in all of Uganda and Tanzania.  As part of their trip Deb and Neville attended the district conference in Dar es Salaam in May 2015, and also visited a number of projects NZ Rotary has been involved in.  They found the people exceptionally friendly and had a great experience.
 
In trying to set up this exchange communication has been considerably slower than anticipated but a firm proposal is now together.  With the US visit 2 years ago the message struggled to get  through to clubs unless picked up by a club champion and many Rotarians remained unaware of the opportunity to participate.
