RLI – Rotary Leadership Institute

Developing Rotarians as leaders for the future

by providing Rotary Learning and Information

RLI is a multi-district leadership programme. It is offered around the world, with the mission to strengthen Rotary clubs through quality leadership education.   The programmes provide the opportunity for all Rotarians to develop and refresh their skills as leaders while also broadening their understanding about Rotary.

The programmes are fun, interactive, in a series of hands-on sessions designed to provide Rotary knowledge and develop leadership skills.

District 9940 offers two levels of programmes - RLI 101 and RLI Advanced.
RLI 101

We bring the programme to you with four sessions in different parts of the District
This is a four-hour programme, enabling
  • Newer members, to really engage with Rotary and make the most of Rotary opportunities.
  • Longer standing members to start to get far more out of their Rotary membership.
As well as learning about the opportunities for personal growth and community involvement offered through rotary, participants can network with Rotarians from other clubs. Topics include:
  • Leadership opportunities in Rotary
  • The wider Rotary world, how to get the most out of it
  • Applying Rotary ethics in their professions
  • Engaging members
  • Starting new club projects
