The final two polio-endemic countries
Pakistan: Three wild polio cases have been reported in 2026. This compares with 31 cases in 2025 and 74 cases in 2024.
Afghanistan: Fifteen cases have been reported this year, compared with 21 cases in 2025 and 25 cases in 2024.
Rotary has helped immunise more than 3 billion children and raise more than $3 billion for polio eradication. We are getting close to ending polio, but sadly, more funding is still needed to support the programme.
