Fifty-four outstanding primary schoolchildren were honoured on 27 August at the Elim church in Porirua. This was the fourth Leadership Awards ceremony and a great credit to the organisers from the Rotary Clubs of Plimmerton and Porirua, with support from Porirua City Council.
The focus of the event was the reading of the citations for every young student, and the presentation of certificates and badges to each one.

The theme for this event remains that of the Rotary International theme for 2015 - 'Be a Gift to the World'. This year the Rotary International theme is 'Be the Inspiration', truly appropriate for this event and depicted on each badge.
