Updated June 2024
District now has 2 gazebos for clubs to use in their events.
The gazebo's are 6m x 3m
Please be careful to repack ALL the parts required. As a shared resource, you could upset the next club event it is needed for.
Each gazebo is based (homed) in a different part of the District
Gazebo1 is held by Wellington Rotary Club and is now called the Southern Gazebo
The gazebo weighs approximately 140kgs all up (canopy & sides suitcase 10 kgs, aluminium frame 40 kg, 6 x leg sandbags 90 Kg), so you will need two strong people at least to pick up the frame. When collapsed for transport, the frame is the largest item measuring about 1.8m(L) x 0.4m (W) x 0.3m(H).
Gazebo2 is stored / held by the Whanganui Club and is now called the Northern Gazebo.
The arrangement is intended to make it easier for clubs throughout the district to book and collect / return the gazebo and reduce travel/shipping time and cost.
The Southern Gazebo is intended as a priority for the Wellington, Hutt Valley, Wairarapa, Kapiti clusters and the chapters of Mana Tangata Club in those regions
The Northern Gazebo is intended as a priority for the Taranaki, Whanganui, Manawatu and Rangitikei clusters and the chapters of Mana Tangata Club in those regions
